William T. Anthony, 95, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. He was the husband of the late Jayne (Wright) Anthony, who died in 2004. Born in New Castle, PA on March 30, 1920, he was the son of the late David J. and Anne (Phillips) Anthony.

William was a 1938 graduate of New Castle High School and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh in 1942. Immediately following graduation, William joined the Bethlehem Steel Corporation as a member of their Management Training Program. At the completion of that program he was assigned to various positions in the Operations Department of the Bethlehem Plant. William was later transferred to the New Products Development Section and also worked in the Sales Department, until retiring in 1983. William was a former chairman of the Railway Progress Institute with Headquarters in Washington, D.C. He was a long time member of the Saucon Valley Country Club, where he enjoyed golfing and dining. William was also a member of Christ Church UCC in Bethlehem.

Survivors: Son, David J. Anthony and his wife Nikki of Bethlehem; grandsons, Jonathan W. Anthony of Bethlehem and David J. Anthony, Jr., his wife Carrie and their daughters, Lilli and Emi of Florida. William was preceded in death by his elder son, Attorney W. Thomas Anthony, Jr. in 2009.
