-My Uncle Greg-
Greg is the son of Columbus Cargile and Blanch Pearl Bryant Baker. He grew up with a younger brother in Bonam, Fannin Co., TX. His father was a barber. Gifted with a beautiful baritone voice, he loved music. Like many, he worked at what made a living but gave of his musical talents often in worship services and on stage throughout his life along with his beautiful wife who was also gifted vocally.

On 11 Feb 1945, Greg married Betty Ann Hudson in New York City, NY. She was considering a vocal career at the time and had been invited to the Metropolitan. She chose Greg rather than a professional vocal career and they raised 2 sons and 1 daughter. They made their home in the Dallas area for many years. In their final years, they lived in the home of their loving daughter in Kyle, Hays Co., TX. Greg preceded his sweet wife by 3 years. Cremated with family memorial service to follow. Greg is my uncle by marriage.

NOTE: 9 Sep 2017 - Interred along with wife Betty. Family held small graveside service.

at peace now.....
