Ralph Edward Petrone, 78, a longtime resident of Connellsville, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, in the Harmon House, Mount Pleasant. He was born Dec. 3, 1926, in Coalbrook, Fayette County, a son of the late Carl and Margaret Siesky Petrone. Ralph was a graduate of Connellsville High School. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a clerk for the former B&O Railroad, now CSX. He was a Veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Navy and a member of the Connellsville American Legion #301. Ralph is survived by his wife of 56 years, Pearl Laverne Miller Petrone; his daughter, Sandy Provance Kingan of Connellsville; his granddaughter, Destiny Gabrielle Kingan of Connellsville; his brother, Paul Petrone and his wife, Julia, of Connellsville and his sister, Mary Peck and her husband, Edward, of Lemont Furnace. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Russell James Provance; a brother, Richard H. "Peanuts" Petrone, and an infant sister, Christine Petrone. Family and friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 12 noon in the funeral home with Rev. Elmer Reamer officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the Connellsville VFW and American Legion and Trotter American Legion Honor Guard
