Anne Regina Digges, 90, of Fredericksburg died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital.
She was born April 29, 1922, in Bealeton, a daughter of the late Oscar Lee and Olive Geneva Willingham Tannehill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Powhatan T. "Jack" Digges; daughter Brenda Wiberg of Fredericksburg; and her brother and his wife, Oscar L. and Ruth Tannehill.
Mrs. Digges had retired after 38 years of service as an operator with C&P Telephone Co. and was a former 40-year resident of Adelphi, Md.
She is survived by daughter Paulette Moorh of Hamer, S.C.; son-in-law Carl Wiberg Sr.; granddaughters Kim Donnelly of Kent Island, Md., and Courtney Caricato of Alexandria; niece Linda Moore of Fredericksburg; two stepgrandchildren, Carl Wiberg Jr. and John Wiberg; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave., Warrenton. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Bealeton.
