Hester E. Hall, 85, widow of George Hall who died in 1956, died Monday morning at the Delaware County nursing facility after a short illness.
She was born near Yorktown and moved to Muncie as a child. She was a member of the Wilmore United Methodist Church and the United Methodist women's organization. She had worked at the W.B. Smith Grocery on West Eighth Street and more recently had been employed at Franklin Middle School cafeteria.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Sollars and Mrs. Ray (Martha Ellen) Qualkinbush, both of Muncie; and two sons, Wilmer R. and Ernest D. Hall, both of Muncie.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Conrad-Piepho Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth C. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Yorktown Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and before services Wednesday.
