Funeral services for Mrs. Mary L. Welch, 76, formerly of 558 27th St., Rock Island, who died yesterday morning in a Quad-City Hospital, will be conducted at 10:30 Saturday morning in the Hodgson Funeral Home, Rock Island, with the Rev. Roy E. Burrill, assistant pastor of First United Methodist Church, Rock Island, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home, where Eastern Star rites will be held at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow by Rock Island Chapter No. 269.
Mrs. Welch was born Feb. 2, 1892 in Kewanee, a daughter of James and Mary Studley Currier. She received her education in Kewanee schools and was married to William R. Welch June 14, 1917 in Kewanee.
She had resided in Rock Island for the past 27 years and formerly had taught school and operated her own antique shop.
She was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution, Vashti White Shrien, Dorcas Circle of King's Daughters and the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter No. 269, Rock Island.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1958 and four brothers.
