Charles Jr. (Charlie) Jenkins, age 59, of Cosby, passed away at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center at Mountain Home, TN, on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC as a Medic and Paratrooper from 1972-1980.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Ernest and Dorothy Faye (Ball) Jenkins.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Michael) Cartrette and grandson Cameron of Climax, NC; sister, Charlene Jenkins Cage of Nashville; brothers, John (Bobbie) Jenkins, Cosby, and Donald (Lisa) Jenkins of Seymour; aunts, Sheila Sapp and Barbara Jenkins; aunt and uncle, Laura Jane and Donald Ball all of Newport; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date in Union Cemetery.
