Theresa was a lifetime resident of Key West until she moved to Clearwater, Fla., in 1985. She then moved to Ocala, Fla., in 1994. She served in the Navy during World War II from 1940 to 1943. She was a registered nurse for the State Health Department. Theresa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a devoted friend who always kept in touch by mail and phone. She enjoyed crocheting and making baby blankets. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur L. Judge; two sisters, Louise Auxier and Mary Wessler. Surviving are her son Richard (Martha) Judge of Key West; daughter Catherine Betancourt of Ocala,; grandchildren James (Maritza) Betancourt of Ocala, Ray Judge of Key West and David (Kimberly) Judge of Key West; great-grandchildren Jessica, Christopher, Jonathan and Serena; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013, at The Basilica of St. Mary Star of the Sea. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St. Mary's Church or school and VNA/Hospice of the Florida Keys. A special thank you to the staff of VNA/Hospice of the Florida Keys. The Dean-Lopez Funeral Home is entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
