SAVANNA, Ill. -- Memorial services for DeMerise L. Bonjour, Savanna, will be 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Savanna. Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Mount Carroll. Mrs. Bonjour died Sunday, April 1, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center, Clinton, Iowa. She owned and operated Carroll Cafe, Mount Carroll, worked at Savanna Army Depot and owned and operated West Bay Resort, Hayward, Wis. DeMerise Zink was born Oct. 13, 1911, in Savanna. She married Clyde Chester Schupbach in 1929 in Mount Pulaski. He died in 1968. She married Eldin Bonjour in 1979 in Mount Carroll. He died in 1992. Memorials may be made to the church. Survivors include sons, Duane Schupbach, Savanna, and Keith Schupbach, Stevenson, Wash.; stepsons, Gerald Bonjour, Savanna, and Joel Bonjour, Stansbury Park, Utah; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Stricker, Mount Carroll; and a half brother, Rodney Hayden, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.
