Floyd A. Marrs, 92, formerly of 101 East 56th, Hutchinson, died Sept. 28, 1997, at Stoneybrook Nursing Home, Manhattan.
He was born Sept. 2, 1905, in Newton County, Mo., the son of John Henry and Mary Lee Tabor Marrs. A longtime Hutchinson resident moving to Manhattan in 1985, he was a retired farmer.
He belonged to First Baptist Church, Hutchinson.
On Jan. 19, 1938, he married Ethel A. Sutherland at Hutchinson. She died Aug. 18, 1883.
Survivors include: a daughter, Nancy Stotler, Manhattan; three grandchildren, Robin Horn, Kearney, Mo., Doug Stotler, Shawnee, and Anna Stotler, Kansas City, Mo.; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Marrs.
Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson.
