Mr. Jim Hood was the son of the late Daniel and Ethel Foster Hood. He was a retired auto and tractor mechanic, and had lived in the community for the past 38 years. Mr. Hood was a member of Wray Holiness Baptist Church. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Phillips Hood of Fitzgerald; a son, Robin Hood, and daughter, Mrs. LaGail Hobbs; one brother, Frank Hood and five sisters: Mrs. Mildred Mann of Albany,Mrs. Ruth McLeod of Fitzgerald, Mrs. Lucy Spicer of Jacksonville, FL., Mrs. Wylene Bryant of Byron and Mrs. Jeanelle Funck, of Tacoma, WA.
Three grandchildren also survive.
