Funeral services for Patricia Ann (Boydstun) Goodnight, 79, of Somerville, are set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Somerville with Rev. Gary Samford and Rev. Wayne Boydstun officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p. m., with the family present, Friday night, March 22nd and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville. Mrs. Goodnight died Tuesday night at her home in Somerville surrounded by her family.

Patricia was born in Clovis, New Mexico on September 27, 1933, the daughter of Powell and Juanita (Hopper) Boydstun. She graduated from high school in Clovis and on December 19, 1953, she married the love of her life, Raymond Goodnight in Clovis, New Mexico. Patricia loved to go camping and she and Raymond bought themselves a Recreational Vehicle and traveled all over the United States and they were campground hosts. Patricia was also a talented Tole painter and many of her works decorate their home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Barbara Timmons and brother, Donald Boydstun.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Raymond Goodnight of Birch; her sons and their spouses, Darrel and Barbara Goodnight of Lyons, and David and Patsy Rose Goodnight of Birch; her sisters, Shirley Hart of Irving and Beverly Lockmiller of Clovis, New Mexico; her grandchildren, Kyle Goodnight of Brenham, Amanda Wright of Hampstead, North Carolina, Kristina Reyes of Somerville, Jacob Goodnight of Birch; 4 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Family members have requested that memorials be made to The Gideon's International, P. O. Box 140800, Nashville, Tennessee 37214 in honor of Patricia Goodnight.
