DANSVILLE -- Lettie C. Crawford, age 91, a resident of East Side Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, formerly of Dansville, died March 16, 2013 at the nursing facility.

She was born April 26, 1921 in West Sparta, N.Y., daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Forsythe Alexander. Lettie was a graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo.

She and her late husband owned and operated their own farm. She was a long time member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Geneseo.

Lettie enjoyed gardening and traveling however farming was her passion. She was a meticulous record keeper and was a fan of Lawrence Welk. Lettie and her husband were avid recyclers; even recycling rain water for use in her garden.

Lettie was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Crawford and her brother, James Alexander.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
