Funeral services will be 10:00A.M., Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta, Texas with B.D. Wynn, officiating. Burial will be in the Deercreek Cemetery in Deercreek, Texas under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta, Texas.
Mr. Armstrong was born on October 7, 1922 in Collin County, TX to Zack and Mattie (Watson) Armstrong. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II and married Gwen Windle on October 11, 1941 in Henrietta, Texas and was married for 66 years. Mr. Armstrong was Farmer/Rancher and worked in the Oil Field. He was a member of the Joy Methodist Church.
Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Gwen and one grandson, Jerry Wayne Armstrong, Jr.; three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include three sons, B.V. Armstrong, Jr. and his wife Linda of Bedis, TX, Jackie Armstrong and his wife Alice of Deercreek, TX and Jerry Armstrong and his wife Donna of Deercreek, TX; nine Grandchildren; sixteen Great-Grandchildren and four Great-Great-Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Deercreek Cemetery Association, 812 Armstrong Rd., Henrietta, TX 76365 or Hospice of Wichita Falls, P.O. Box 4804, Wichita Falls, TX 76308.
