AUBURN RESIDENT IS DEAD AT AGE 76
Mrs. Minnie Armstrong, Widow of John Armstrong, a former Sheriff of DeKalb County, Passes Away
Mrs. Minnie M. Armstrong died at the age of 75 years at her home at 216 East Sixth Street, Auburn at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday from a complication of ailments.
Mrs. Armstrong, widow of the late John Armstrong, a former sheriff in DeKalb county, had been in failing health for the past several years.
She was born in Jackson township, DeKalb County, on Jan. 7, 1885, the daughter of the late James and Lavina Osbun Dove.
She was a lifelong resident of DeKalb county and had resided in Auburn for the past 12 years. Mr. Armstrong preceded her in death on March 6, 1937. The couple had no children.
The only close survivor is a sister, Mrs. Floyd Higgins of Rt. 2, Auburn.
The body was removed to the Dilgard & Cline funeral home in Auburn.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Joseph Ferguson of near Auburn officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn cemetery, near Auburn.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Thursday.
