SNYZYK, STANLEY A. 88, of Warwick passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Alana A. (Ferguson) Snyzyk. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Peter C. and Anna (Augustine) Snyzyk. Mr. Snyzyk was a driver for Teamsters Union, Local 251 until his retirement in 1987. He served in The United States Army during WW II. He was a Member of the American Legion, Wm. Shields Post 43 and V.F.W. Post 183. He was the beloved father of Stanley A. Snyzyk of Warwick, Joanna R. Deacon of Pinellas Park, FL and Edith A. Minton of Palm Harbour, FL. Loving grandfather of Holly Minton, Amanda Deacon and Meaghan Begonis. Cherished great grandfather of Kristen and Annabelle Begonis. Caring brother of Walter S. Snyzyk of North Smithfield, Joanna Hastings of Lincoln and the late John, Peter, Charles and Joseph Snyzyk and Magdeline Crabbe. He is also survived by his pets Mason and Stashu who brought him a smile right to the end. His funeral will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 9:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick. Burial with Military Honors will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8 pm.
