JOHANNES, Lois Emily (nee Sherk) Gone Home To Be With The Lord, with family by her side, on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 101 years. Beloved wife of the late Lorne Johannes who passed (May 18, 1984). Dear mother of Peter Johannes and wife Cathy, and daughter Carol Sheen. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Blair (Tammy), Scott (Jean) Johannes, Becky (Allen) Eades, Jim (Nancy), Steve (Terry Lynn) Falco and Carolann (Marcos) Sabcgez, and 12 great-grandchildren, Owen, Madline, Mason, Sophia Hailey, Hunter, Devin, Jonathan, Melnie, Angelica, Jason, and Emma. Also survived by her sister Dora Misal of Kitchener. Predeceased by her parents Jesse and Emma Sherk and 3 brothers Dave, Willard and Jack Sherk and her sister Alice McVicer, and son-in-law Glyn Sheen. Lois was a devoted Christian and openly praised the Lord. She has been a long time member of Forward Church and a life time member of the Gideons. She owned her own Christian supply store for many years. She also loved to play the piano, sing in the church choir and play scrabble. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gideons and Forward Church. Thanks to the staff for the great care for the past 10 years in Glenoaks at St. Andrews Terrace and to Dr. Skillman. The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge on Monday, May 19, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Forward Church, 455 Myers Road, Cambridge, on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, visitation from 10 till service time at 11 a.m. Interment Blair Cemetery.
