Charles was 83 when he went home to his Lord on Wednesday. He was born in Kentucky but lived in Pompano Beach, Florida for many years. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Milton, Ky. and was retired from Local #675 Operating Engineers and the City of Pompano Beach. He was a former City Police Judge in Milton and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Pompano Beach. Charles is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Randall Williamson and great granddaughter, Helena Eckland. He is survived by his loving wife, Doris; daughters Kim Eckland (Charles), Gwendolyn Holbrook (Robert) and Toleiha Williamson,; son, Christopher Fox (Merian); grandchildren, Travis, Shane, Scott, Lance, Robert, Jared, Joshua, Stephen, Justin, Eric, B.J. and Tedd, great0grandchildren, Devin, Hunter, Bridget, Peyton, Axel, Fallon, Gretchen, Logan, Brycen and Anthony, and brother, Jimmy Fox (Sandy). The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11am until 1pm at the First Baptist Church of Pompano Beach. The service celebrating Charles' life will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm, also at First Baptist Church of Pompano Beach. Another service and interment will be held in Milton, Ky.. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Pompano Beach renovation fund, 138 NE 1st Street, Pompano Beach, Florida 33060. Arrangements entrusted to Kraeer Funeral Home in Pompano Beach.
