Funeral services for Howard Bishop, age 73, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. John Cole officiating. Interment will be at Earles Chapel Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Mr. Bishop passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 in Jacksonville.
He was born June 6, 1940 in Price, Texas.
Howard was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Neta Bishop; parents, Charlie and Florence Bishop; brothers, Curtis and Noel Bishop; sister, Nancy Bishop; and granddaughter, Rachael Benge.
Survivors include three daughters, his best companion Daisy, ten grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brookshire Brothers friends and 11 others.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, May 15, 2014 with family receiving friends from 5-7p.m. at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
