Franklin Biehn was the second child of Mr. and Mrs. John Biehn and was born March 27, 1860 at Freeport, Ill.

When a small child he moved with his parents to a homestead south of Riverton, where he grew to manhood.

He was married to Miss Ether (Hester on stone)Gregg of Reamsville in the year of 1880. To this union seven children were born. After their marriage they moved to Minerville, Kans., where he worked in the coal mines until 1884. Then he moved to a farm south of Riverton living there for eight years. From there he moved his family to a farm north of Smith Center, Kans., which was home to them for 48 years. After many years of hard labor he was forced to retire. In the year of 1914he and his wife moved to Smith Center, where Mrs. Biehn passed away in 1945.

He was preceded into the Great Beyond by his loving wife, one son, Leo, passing away in 1946 and Mrs. Ethel Morris, who passed away in 1948; besides his parents, one brother and one sister.

When he became ill he was taken to the Smith Center hospital where after just a few hours he passed away April 10 at the age of 93 years and 14 days.
