Four years served in U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the 551st battalion, and the 508th regiment of the 82nd Airborne. Fought in the Battle of the Bulge, participated in the invasion of Southern France through the liberation of several towns and villages throughout France, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Wounded in action, and receiver of 2 Purple Hearts, 2 Bronze Stars, and numerous other medals.
