Michael "Mikey" Lyndale Brushwood, Jr., 36, of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014, after a lengthy illness at his home in Saint Joseph.
He was born May 5, 1978, in St. Joseph, son of Susan and Michael Brushwood. He graduated from Savannah high school. He married Vicki Koch on October 16, 2004, and she survives of the home. He worked at Ivy Steel & Wire for eight years in the Special Products department. He enjoyed rodeos, horses, and four wheeling. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
Survivors include wife, Vicki of the home; his parents, Mike and Susan Brushwood of Amazonia, Mo.; four daughters, Cheyanne, Gemma, Gretchen and Zetta Brushwood; mother and father-in-law, Marilyn and Eldon Koch of St. Joseph; a sister, Kari Ellis and husband Steven of St. Joseph; several, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and brother and sisters-in-law also survive.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the St. James Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 5-7:30 p.m. Monday, at the Rupp Funeral Home with the Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials are requested to the Brushwood Children's Education Fund.
