Joseph Cannon Dover-Foxcroft 73. Husband of Alice (Billings) Cannon died 1-1-1996 at his Dover-Foxcroft residence. He was born in Presque Isle 4-6-1922 the son of Lawrence and Dora (Case) Cannon. A WWII Army veteran, Joe had served in the European theater and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a avid farmer and hunter, cherishing nature and the land. He had also worked in area mills and had retired from Pride Manufacturing. He was a member of the D.J. Babineau VFW Post No.3385. In addition to his wife Alice of Dover-Foxcroft, he is survived by 5 children, Stephen and his wife Sharon and their children, Stephen Jr. and Angela, all of Eastport, Susan and her husband, Francis Robinson of Dover-Foxcroft, Joseph and his wife Janet and their children, Shawn and Marie, all of Hudson, James of Dover-Foxcroft and Peter and his wife, Susan and their children, Holly and Mark all of Atkinson, brothers, Marshall of Columbus, GA. and Larry and his wife, Sharon of Bangor, 2 sisters, Mrs. Maynard (Arlene) Munroe of Auburn and Mrs. Ted (Esther) Beck of Augusta, several nieces and nephews. Burial Johnson cemetery.
