French E. "Bud" Garner was born April 1, 1921 in Lampasas, TX to French and Clara Bell Garner. He lived there until he was inducted into the United States Army in 1942. He served in Europe during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds he received in Germany. He went to live his eternal life with his Heavenly Father and his Savior and Lord Jesus on May 13, 2014.

Bud arrived in Okla. City in 1958 where he resided until the time of his death. He was employed at Tinker Field in the sheet metal section from 1958 until his retirement in April, 1982. Music had a special place in his life, as well as his church.

He was married to Leta Hall in 1968. She preceded him in death Oct., 1991.
Bud was a faithful and dedicated member of Northwest Baptist Church, Okla. City, where he served as an usher 39 years. He considered it a great privilege and honor to greet friends and guests as they came through "his door." He was also a devoted member of Senior Adult 2 Sunday school department.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, whom he married in Nov., 1992; a brother, Marshall Garner and wife Karen of Clifton, TX; and a sister-in-law, Angie Garner of Menomonee Falls, WI. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Lois Garner and brothers, Jarvis, Richard and Wilbur.

Interment will be at Memorial Park prior to a memorial service at 1:00pm, Friday, May 16 at Northwest Baptist Church, 23rd and Drexel, OKC.
