WERKMEISTER, BARBARA JEAN, 75, of Mt. Washington, formerly of Valley Station, returned to her Heavenly Father Thursday, July 5, 2012.

Mrs. Werkmeister was born January 10, 1937 in Evansville, IN to the late William and Katie Smith Hankins. She was a retired nurse and a member of the Big Blue Nation!

Among those who preceded her in death include, her parents and siblings, Hank Hankins, Mary Lou Allen, Juanita Powers, Bert Hurt and Syl Hankins.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 58 years, Carl Werkmeister Jr.; children, Carl "Skip" Werkmeister III (Diane), Mike Werkmeister (Debbie) and Sandy Poole (Greg); grandchildren, Mickey (Allison), Andrea (Guy), Josh (Brittany), Stephanie, Cody (Ashley), Michael and Shelly; great-grandchildren, Kaila, Gabriel and Drew and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at noon on Tuesday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 2-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Schoppenhorst.
