Slyder leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Stephen(Lynn)Lugenbeel Jr of Fort Walton Beach and Shawn(Catherine) Lugenbeel of Greenville, S.C.; two daughters, Stacey (Richmond) Thomas of Selma, Ala., and Candice (Bill) Strauss of Navarre, Fla.; three sisters, Norma (Mac) McInturff, Irene Lugenbeel and Jean Lugenbeel; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a very long time best friend, Bernice Dixon.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Evelyn Lugenbeel; a devoted daughter, Sandra Marie Lugenbeel; two sisters, Barbara and Ginger Lugenbeel and his loving pet, Baron.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Davis-Watkins Crestview Memorial Chapel, 492 E. Pine Avenue, Crestview, FL 32539 beginning 11 a.m. with full military honors provided by the USAF with Brother Joel Davis officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
