Lou was born to the late Ervil L. and Jessie M. (Herr) Aldrich in Carroll County, Indiana on Aug. 13, 1922. Lou spent most of her life in Carroll County. She was a 1940 graduate of Cutler High School.
Her first marriage was to Edward Kramer in Frankfort. Her second marriage was to John Raymond Sacha on June 4, 1950 in Delphi and he preceded her on Aug. 10, 1984.
Mrs. Sacha had worked at The Delphi Journal and Carroll County Comet for many years. She and her husband owned and operated The Sandwich Shop in Delphi for 38 1/2 years which was famous for its fresh peeled hand cut french fries, cheeseburgers and homemade pies.
Mrs. Sacha was a member of the Delphi United Methodist Church, Love Circle, Carroll County Cancer Association, and The Modern's E.H. Club. She was affiliated with the Delphi Business Women's Club, Carroll County Historical Society and had been a member of the Friends of the Library, American Legion Auxiliary, Delphi Preservation Society and Delphi Housing, Inc.
Lou enjoyed reading and loved nature. She dearly loved and cherished her sons.
She is survived by her twin sons, John J. Sacha (Michele) and James R. "Jim" Sacha, both of Delphi; a sister, Sharon K. Servies of Frostproof, FL; stepbrother, John Berkshire (wife: Betty) of Delphi; stepsisters, Carol Berkshire of Lafayette, Betty Heise (Wayne) of Burrows, and Sharon Parr (William) of Delphi; and 3 grandchildren, Tony, Eric and Julie Kramer.
Along with her husband, she was preceded by a son, Phillip E. Kramer, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the 3:00 p.m. funeral service at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi, on Monday, May 12, 2014. Pastor Todd Ladd officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Delphi.
