Funeral services of Miss Rose Poynter, age 20 who died Sunday morning on a Cotton Belt train a short distance this side of Texarkana, while on her way home from El Paso, Texas, were held yesterday afternoon from the Hawley Memorial church, Rev. L. W. Evans conducting the services. Interment was held in Graceland Cemetery.

Miss Poynter had been in El Paso for the past few months in hope of regaining her failing health. Miss Poynter had been educated in the Pine bluff schools and had many friends who will be grieved at her death.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Lela Poynter, five sisters and two brothers. They are Mrs. J. M. Henry of Redfield, Mrs. Ben Watson of Sulphur Springs, Mrs. J. W. Groves, Mrs. L. C. Smith and Mrs. W. E. Gilmore of Pine Bluff, R. S. Poynter of Moscow, and L. D. Poynter of Pine Bluff.

The following school girl friends were selected as honorary pallbearers: Misses Gladys Holly, Irine Hestand, Edna Livingston, Lelia Shell, Opal Johnson and Alberta Robertson. The active pallbearers were Dr. H. E. Martin, W. E. Bobo, George Leach, Bertram McCarthy, F. L. Harwell, Quint Baxter, George Payne and Garvin Bridges.
