Jean Wieneke Hollingsworth, 89, of Denton, Texas, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at her home. Born March 2, 1925, in Hartshorne, she was the daughter of Robert Owen and Elizabeth (Emery) Wieneke. She graduated from Hartshorne High School in 1943. She was employed at Droughton Construction Company in McAlester from 1944 to 1947. In 1947, she moved to Oklahoma City to work at the state Capitol. In 1956 she was employed by Dresser Industries and after 26 years, retired in August 1982. She moved to Denton in 1988, where she worked for lawyers Trammell, Reece, and Welch and later for Edward Jones. She retired for the third time in March 2014. She was a very active member of First Presbyterian Church and of the Desk and Derrick Club. Survivors include her children and grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister, Rhoda Ann Browder, and brothers, Robert L. Wieneke, Frank R. Wieneke, Joe H. Wieneke and Forrest J. Wieneke. Funeral services were at 10 today at First Presbyterian Church in Denton. Graveside services were at 3:30 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Denton.
