Margie Charles, 88, of Washington C.H., formerly of Greenfield, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at St. Catherine's Manor of Washington C.H. She was born Aug. 14, 1925 in Dublin, Texas to G.E. Andrews and Maude (Vaughn) Andrews. She was a member of the Buckskin Community Church of South Salem, and was a homemaker and a full-time grandma who enjoyed traveling, mushroom hunting, reading, genealogy, visiting, and discussing the Bible. She is survived by one son, of Greenfield; two daughters; 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lee Charles, on Jan. 30, 1980; one son, Donald "Andy" Charles; one son-in-law, Wylie Knauff; two grandchildren, Jonnathan and Tony Conrad; three great-grandchildren, Matthew and Mark Patterson and Michael Joseph "J.R." Patterson Jr.; and both parents. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 15 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with pastor Mark Current officiating and burial to follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery near Elmville. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Fayette County, 222 N. Oakland Ave., Washington C.H., Ohio.
