Daniel Webster Carper died at his Water St. home after an illness of nine years. He was a member of the Methodist Church and active in church work. he was a former secretary of the James M. Hoover Bible Class and was a member of the official board. He was a member of the Columbus Lodge 75, I.O.O.F. He was the last of his family.
Surviving are his wife, Jennie R. Carper; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth O. Trace of town and a son, William G., at home and five grandchildren.
