Pearl Noland, 98, of New London, MO passed away at 4:25 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Sunrise Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Winfield, IA.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Arch United Methodist Church in Hannibal, MO. Pastor David Scott will officiate. Burial will be in the Barkley Cemetery in New London.

Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at Arch United Methodist Church.

The Smith Funeral Home and Chapel in Hannibal is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Noland was born November 3, 1915 in Algona, IA the daughter of Benjamin and Lydia Zimmerman Gerber. She married Rex C. Noland on June 29, 1937 in Humboldt, IA. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2008.

Survivors include one daughter, Sharalyn Johnson (Gary) of Winfield, IA; one son, Gerald Noland (Connie) of New London, MO; six grandchildren, Jerad Noland (Carrie) of Hannibal, MO, Julie Beussink (Stuart) of Marble Hill, MO, Jason Noland (Whitney) of Hannibal, MO, Krista Aird (Jason) of West Liberty, IA, Kerri Anderson (Matt) of Mt. Pleasant, IA and Karmen Johnson of Winfield, IA; fifteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Noland was preceded in death by four sisters and eight brothers.

Pearl was a longtime member of the New London Methodist Church until its closing, she later become a member of Arch United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Extension Club, Laff-A-Lot Club and United Methodist Women. Pearl worked as a Beautician for two years before getting married. She then enjoyed being a homemaker, gardening, flowers, sewing, reading, camping and dancing to Big Band Music in Northern Iowa and Minnesota. Mrs. Noland enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Noland Grandchildren and Spouses.

Honorary pallbearers will be her Great Grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Arch United Methodist Church or Sunrise Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in care of Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
