Berneice A. Burdge, 89, died March 22, 1999. Born in Nauvoo, Illinois on August 27, 1909, she spent a great part of her adult life raising a family in Warsaw, IL, a nearby Mississippi River community. For the past several years she has been a resident of the Franciscan nursing home. Berneice lived in Longview, WA for seventeen years prior to moving to Gig Harbor in 1981. She and her husband, a retired river boat captain, moved to Washington state in 1964 to be near her daughter and family. Her husband, Morris, and son, Tom, preceded her in death.
