Harold Adkins was born on March 3, 1912 in Montgomery County, Tennessee, the son of Grover Cleveland "Cleve" Adkins (1888-1956) and Ethel (Darnell) Adkins (1892-1981).
A 14-year-old school boy, he died on May 25, 1926 in Clarksville, Rural Route 5, the result of many broken bones and fractured skull when he was dragged by a horse. Burial was two days later in Greenwood Cemetery.
