MARTIN, Pastor Gordon Passed away peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Lisaard House, Cambridge, surrounded by the love of his family, at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Marie Martin for 33 years. Loving father of Donna Snyder (Robert), Douglas Frey (Barbara), Wanda Frey-Martin (Herbert), Larry Frey (Karen), Pamela Frey (Colleen Daly) and Michael Frey (Tara Duguid). Cherished grandpa to 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Art Martin (Marie), Vernon Martin (Erla), Vera Brubacher (Abner), Beatrice Brubacher (Harvey), Harold Martin (Janet) and Dorothy Gingrich. Pre-deceased by parents Elo and Minerva Martin, sisters Gladys Martin, Alice and Mabel in infancy and brother Cleon also in infancy. Gordon served at eight Mennonite Churches; Hawkesville, St. Jacobs, Listowel, Cassel, Nairn, Living Water, Drayton and Milverton. Gordon's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral service will be held at Waterloo Mennonite Brethren (245 Lexington Road, Waterloo) on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 2 p.m. followed by a reception in the church hall. Private family interment at Hawkesville Cemetery will take place prior to the service.
