Graduated as valedictorian from Bucyrus High School in 1934, attended Jamestown College, ND on a scholarship.

In 1936 she married James C. Parkinson, and moved the Tacoma, WA in 1938, where she lived the rest of her life.

She and her husband always enjoyed family and friends and their home in the Northwest.

In 1944 her only child, Elizabeth, was born.

Rose later graduated from UPS in Tacoma, with a BA in Accounting in 1966. She became a CPA in 1971, and worked with the state Auditor's office until her retirement in 1986.

Preceded in death by her husband Jim, who passed away in 1989.
