Pablo Campe, 84, of Spotswood, died Friday, May 9, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born Matanzas, Cuba, Pablo came to the United States in 1967 and settled in Spotswood in in 1977. He worked for the Fedders Corporation of Edison for many years, then RCHP of New Brunswick before retiring in 1985. Pablo enjoyed gardening and working around his home. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife and family and, helping his family in Cuba.
Predeceased by his son, Manuel in 2012 and his siblings, Leonardo Bacallao, and Juan and Adolfina Campe, he is survived by his wife of 53 years, Adoracion Campe; his daughters, Isis "Roni" Nicol and her husband John, of Millstone and Carmen Liguori and her husband Fred, of Hazlet; his brother, Arcenio Campe; his sister, Zenaida Campe, and; his grandchildren, Kristen, Janine and Johnny Nicol, Kenny and Talia Smarsch and, Marisol and Zacharia Campe.
Funeral services will begin at 9:15 AM, Tuesday from Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, followed by a 10:15 AM Mass of Christian Burial from Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Entombment will be in Frost Woods Cemetery, East Brunswick. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
