A member of the 4llth Infantry Div and recipient of the Bronze Star Medal with V device for valor, the Purple Heart and several other awards. He came home from the war, graduated from Georgia Tech. A talented artist, he enjoyed a successful career as an architect. He was married to Marianna McPheeters and the proud father of 3 daughters and 2 grandsons.
