Florence Lela Dement, 92, of Corsicana passed away on May 14, 2002 in Corsicana. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Ridgeway Cemetery in Ridgeway. She was born on November 16, 1909 in Emblem to Jasper William and Georgie Mary (Smith) Littrell. She was a retired school teacher and even though she and her husband of 62 years, Ed, had no children, there were hundreds of students she loved as if they were her own. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldrege Dow Dement. She is survived by her sister, Luta Mae Beadles of Sulphur Springs. Corley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
