Suggested edit: J. Wrex Henthorn, the son of Charles and Minerva Powers Henthorn, was born near Aurora, Nebraska on October 28, 1890 and died at Aurora on May 28, 1977, following several months of failing health at the age of 86 years and 5 months of age.

Most of his lifetime was spent in Hamilton County, except for the years from 1902 to 1906, when the family resided in Kansas. He received his education in the public schools of this vicinity and the Aurora Business College.

On October 9, 1915 he was united in marriage to Alice Bigger at Aurora. They farmed northwest of Aurora for many years, until 1947 when they moved into Aurora. Here he was employed in the C.A. Newman Motor Company for several years. About 23 years age to suffered a heart attack, which forced his retirement, but after several months of recuperation was able to enjoy life.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Aurora.

His parents and two brothers, Harold and Edward Henthorn had preceded him in death.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Alice; son, Wrex Henthorn, Jr. of Aurora; daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Baker of Pueblo, Colorado; sister, Mrs. Louretta Bradbury of San Diego, California; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and other relatives and many close friends.
