Barbara Gentry, age 73, passed away May 8, 2014 at her home in Ardmore. Barbara was born March 28, 1941 in Ardmore to Claud and Goldie (Parker) Allen.
The love of her life was her children and grandchildren. Barbara liked working in the yard. She had beautiful flowers. She was a graduate of Dickson School. Barbara was a member of Southwest Baptist Church, and loved working with children. She was retired from Michelin and the VA Center.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronald Allen.
She is survived by her son David Gentry of Lone Grove; daughter Cindy Gentry of Lone Grove; sister Claudia Matthews of Ardmore; grandchildren Jessica Coop, Jerrod Gentry, and Jordan Gentry; and one great grandson Dakota Coop.
Funeral services for Barbara Gentry will be Monday, May 12, at 2:00 P.M. at the Southwest Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Taylor and Rev. Kent House officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Grove Memorial Cemetery.
