WEST – Ruth S. West, 35, died yesterday in the Good Samaritan hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Richard B. West, managing director of the Portland branch of the federal reserve bank. She had lived in Portland since 1919, coming to this city with her husband from Salt Lake City. She is survived by her widower and three sons, Richard B. Jr., Hugh S. and her infant son, Robert G. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
