Funeral services were to be held today for Enoch Joe Brannon, 79, Gadsden Route 2, who died yesterday at his home after a short illness.
Services were to be held at 1 p.m. at Collier-Butler Chapel, the Revs. Elmer Gormany and J.D. Boyd officiating. Burial was to be in Crestwood Cemetery, the grandsons pallbearers.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Allie Elliott Brannon; three daughters, Mrs. Dottie Mae davenport and Mrs. Lois Daniel, both of Gadsden and Mrs. John O. Oaks, Rome, Ga.; three sons, Hullon Brannon and Vester Brannon both of Gadsden Route 2, and Lester Brannon, Leesburg; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Brannon was a native of Georgia and a resident of Etowah County the past 15 years. He was a farmer and a member of Hokes Bluff Methodist Church.
