He was a retired mechanic for Hertz and a member of New Bethel Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Fannie Welch; brothers, Earnest and Lloyd Welch; and sisters, Alma Cooper, Velma Welch, Pauline, and Geveva Sawards all from Ohio.
Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Sarah (Mischler) Welch; sisters, Barbara Johnson and Juanita White, Ohio, and Ester Horton, Texas; and all his extended family including in laws, nieces and nephews.
His service will be noon Wednesday at the Hardy Valley Funeral Home with burial in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
