Rosenberg Herald, September 15, 1955:

Final rites were held for Mrs. Malinda Schulz, age 71, from the Immanuel Evangelical Church at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, with Rev. W. Ocholze officiating.

Mrs. Schulz was born in Brenham on November 25, 1883. She married Joe Schulz in Prairie Hill in 1904 and in 1917 moved to Needville Community and made their home. She passed away in the Polly Ryon Hospital following a heart attack.

Her husband preceded her in death four years ago.

Survivors include three sons, Eddie of Stafford, Marvin of West Columbia, Martin of Texas City; one daughter, Mrs. Lilly Wicks of Columbia, Mississippi; one sister, Mrs. Hulda Gossler of Brenham; and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Herbert Bettin, Albert Steffen, Willie Jeske, Fritz Jeske, Emil Muzny, and Albin Schroeder.

Interment was made in the Immanuel Cemetery with the Triska Funeral Home directing.
