GRIMES -- Graveside service for N. Laverte Grimes will be 3 p.m. Monday at Lakeview Memory Gardens, with the Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Lakewood Baptist Church and members of the Men's Bible Class of Lakewood Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife , Nell Slaughter Griggs, a son Terry L. Grimes, Phenix City; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Christianson and Mrs. Edna Hobbs, both of Phenix City; two brothers, Jerry Grimes and Ralph Grimes of Phenix City; and two grandchildren, Steve and Laura Grimes of Phenix City.
