Born in Richmond, Va., September 21, 1912, she lived in Lorain County for 31 years. She lived in Sheffield Lake for 17 years before moving to Elyria a year ago.
She was employed as an office manager and legal secretary for Berger & Kirschenbaum law firm in Cleveland for many years. She retired in 1980.
Mrs. Hayes attended the Richmond Business School, Richmond, Va.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Sheffield Lake, and was a former member of LeGals of Cleveland.
Survivors include a son, Joseph G. Quisenberry of Avon; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Hayes on November 3, 1978; and a grandson in 1983.
