Robert was the son of Francis and Catherine SCHUETTE.

He was the husband of Lena M. ( SCHANE ) SCHUETTE.

OBITUARY:

Mr. Schuette, 85, of Gold Hill, died Thursday (April 25, 2002) at his home.

He was born in Phoenix on Oct. 1, 1916, to Francis and Catherine Schuette.

He grew up in Marysville, Calif., and married Lena Schane on Aug. 18, 1957, in Reno, Nev.

He was a fruit picker and packer, and worked for more than 20 years in the Providence Hospital kitchen.

He enjoyed carpentry and spending time with his family.

He was a U.S. Army corporal and served from March 1942 until October 1945 and was in the South Pacific Theater 640th Tank Destroyer Battalion.

Survivors include two sons, Shurrell Moore of Omaha, Neb., and Robert M. Moore of Gold Hill; four daughters, Tressie Fay Williams of White City, Wyvonne Hamilton of Central Point, Shirley Theo Armbruster of Weldon, Calif., and Mary Ellen Thompson of Roseburg; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
