Matthew A. Madden
Matthew A. Madden, 74, of 33 Newkirk Avenue, died Thurday in this city after a long illness.
Born in Kingston, he was the son of Thomas and Harriet Rorke Madden, and had resided here all his life. He was a veteran of World War I and served with the U. S. Army in the AEF. Retired for many years, he was a brushmaker by trade. Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Kerr; a son James J. Madden, and two granddaughter, all of Kingston.
The funeral will be held Monday 9:30 a. m. from the James M. Murphy Funeral Home, 176 Broadway, thence to St. Mary’s Church where at 10 a. m. a high Mass of requiem will be offered for the repose of his soul. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday and Sunday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p. m.
