CASSADY, MARTHA B. - age 97, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 1997, at her home. She was the oldest member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, charter member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Fate Cassady and son, James Earl Cassady. Survivors: daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Alice) Bridges; daughter and son-in-law, Gladys and Robert L. Lippner, Sr.; grandchildren, Richard and Mike Bridges, Pat Cowden, Robert L. Lippner, Jr., Steve and Jimmy Cassady, Mary Ann Gamble; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends will meet at the main entrance to Greenwood Cemetery at 9:45 a.m. Friday for graveside and interment service at 10 a.m., Rev. Jim Lennon officiating. Pallbearers: Jimmy Cassady, Robert L. Lippner, Jr., Mike, Richard and Ricky Bridges, Bill Cowden, Mike Hyde, Scott Moore. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beaver Dam Baptist Church or the Fort Sanders Hospice Program. Arrangements by Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
